The band have given a dozen film makers the same modest budget and asked them to create whatever comes into their head when they listen to songs from the band’s forthcoming album. The idea is to bypass the usual artistic approval process and allow people utmost creative freedom.
First up is Icelandic performance artist and sometime Kjartan Sveinsson-collaborator Ragnar Kjartansson who has turned in an amazing instructional video. Look out for videos to come from Alma Har’el (Bombay Beach), John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig & The Angry Inch, Shortbus and Rabbit Hole); and American photographer Ryan McGinley.
