Radiohead have the rest of July off, which means plenty of time for twiddling their thumbs, making fancy-ass videos, watching former label Capitol/EMI reissue their vinyl, and, oh yeah, reflecting on the first half of their 2008 tour.
Ever the fan-friendly bunch, Thom, Jonny, Colin, Ed, and Phil have extended an invitation to reflect to their raging hordes of supporters as well. According to an At Ease report, the band's W.A.S.T.E. merchandising mecca recently sent out a survey to those who purchased Radiohead North American gig tickets via W.A.S.T.E. Said survey, conducted in conjunction with UK-based energy crisis solutions-people d::gen's AMEE (Avoiding Mass Extinctions Engine), allows fans to enter travel information and calculate their actual carbon footprint. Now you can see how your reality stacked up to your travel projections and help Radiohead plot their next excursion.
In exchange for filling out the survey, Radiohead are offering fans a free download of a live track from this year's tour. Shucks, thanks guys, but we've already got them all.
As for the above-mentioned fancy-ass video for "House of Cards", it went live earlier this morning. To the Forkcast, Radioheadz! And once you've soaked that loveliness in, head here to see how it was done and here to play around with it.
The In Rainbows tour picks up again August 1 in Chicago.
